The Strategy team operates at the heart of the eCommerce business unit, driving differentiated value for our customers. As a Strategy Manager your will be driving a variety of projects, from market scoping to go-to-market, to innovation roadmaps. You will be always on the lookout where to play and how to win.
What does the role involve?
You will help develop, lead and deliver key strategic initiatives, primarily supporting the global airline and travel team whilst also driving broader business objectives. You will also be planning, coordinating and managing a diverse range of eCommerce projects. These projects will frequently involve an analytical component and will also require engaging with critical stakeholders from across the business, e.g.: colleagues within the vertical team (marketing & partner), Product and Delivery.
This is a UK based role but will incorporate regular contact with and travel to all priority markets and regions including US, EMEA, LATAM and APAC.
You will be driving firm-wide implementation of key strategic projects (such as entering new markets); progressing product and marketing initiatives (such as launching new products) and supporting delivery of Sales, Operations and Technology programs (such as refreshing the go-to-market proposition).
What will make you the right fit for the team?
You several years of work experience at a strategy or managment consultancy / or in a strategic planning function within an airline or travel organisation.
A good understanding of the payment industry would be beneficial but not a deal breaker.
You ideally had a broad role, operating across complex business environments and have a good analytical pedigree, strong project management skills and an ability to develop, lead and execute complex initiatives. You are a confident communicator and networker, with good influencing skills.
You have been central to wide-ranging strategic decision-making processes and are comfortable making choices and assessing trade-offs. You are a natural collaborator with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
