In this senior role you will, provide on the ground consistent legal advice, policy and direction to the eCommerce business in London. Critical to this will be interfacing effectively across time zones with the eCommerce General Counsel, to whom this role will report and seemless working with the rest of the Legal & Compliance team globally. Critical to the success of this role will be the ability to rapidly build personal credibility and ensure effective stakeholder management across the ecommerce business group.
How you will contribute?
Provide high quality, business focussed legal support directly to a growing and developing business. You will also work on large regulatory matters such as licensing applications, analysing complex business models, and liaising with regulators in the payments and financial services industry.
Commercial contracts negotiation, liaising with customers, suppliers and senior management in respect of negotiations, transaction structuring and contributing to debates outside of the legal remit will be key factors in this role.
To excel in this role you will have a strong understanding of payments, financial services and regulation as well as broad ranging corporate, commercial and IT experience. You will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of core legal concepts, particularly in contract law, with strong drafting skills and an ability to supervise junior members of the team.
