Sales Development Representative

Sales Development Representative

You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities for a variety of industries for our book of prospective customers. You’ll work with international corporate organisations, headquartered in the EMEA region.

Our eCommerce division is booming. With significant revenue increases year on year, the business is the engine room of our global strategy. As experts in what we do, we operate across verticals that represent the most exciting opportunities for global eCommerce growth and in doing so we are privileged to partner with many of the world’s most dynamic organisations. Our strategic aim is to drive differentiated value for our customers by increasing their profitability and hence Worldpay’s share of wallet. To achieve this we aim to reach more customers in more markets, in local language and with local payment options.

How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

You will connect with executives and senior management at various types of eCommerce companies. Following up on marketing generated activities tied to outbound, targeted campaigns including webinars, white papers and trade shows. Your aim is to generate new business opportunities for the Business development team, by prospecting companies via cold calling and email and setting up meetings.

You will engage with senior individuals, so you will spend a fair amount of your time on researching the company and the people you’re targeting.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

You are a quick learner who is driven to succeed in a fast moving environment. You’re confident and commercially savvy and have the ability to quickly engage with a variety of people – strong communication skills in-person, writing and by phone are mandatory. You enjoy asking questions and going into the detail in order to understand potential customers.
In order to be successful I this role, you’ll need to organise and manage your work effectively – the ability to multi-task is essential. Ideal but not essential would be the ability to engage in discussions in French and German.
